Dear Murus folks and users,
I've just bought and am using Murus Basic on my OS X El Capitan (10.11.4) Mac. I've turned on the SSH Brute Force service, and I can verify that one brute force attacker has been identified and added to the table. (I don't allow root logins, and I only allow preauth key login--no challenge or password login. I did this by editing the sshd_config by hand.)
However, since installing and turning on Murus, I've been getting--approximately every 10 minutes--ssh messages in Console.app. They look like this:
1:27:56pm com.apple.xpc.launchd: (com.openssh.sshd.[HEXCODES][NUMBER]) Service exited with abnormal code: 255
SSH access to the Mac still works for me.
Can anyone tell me whether what I'm seeing here, with SSHD, could be because of the way PF is configured via Murus?
Best,
Jon

Those Auth fails are good. Change your root password or uninstall ssh.
