Open port 16000

Post by tsramtho » Wed Sep 14, 2016 2:02 pm

Hi

OS and firewall are not my area of expertise. With router/firewall I'm doing otherwise. With Murus I have no overview of what I can do. Also the instructions and videos do not help me. The Murus light version shows me no way.

I only want to open port 16000 on macOS 10.11 for FileMaker Server remote administration. FileMaker Server is not an app but a service.

How and with which version can I do that?

Thanks for answers

It's really easy.
Starting from Murus default configuration create a custom service, give it a name, port 16000, protocol all.
Then drag the service from library to inbound managed services.
Then click the magnifier icon to set its access rules. To make it completely open drag group "Everyone" from the white column to the green column.
CLick PLAY in Murus toolbar. Current connections may drop, you have to reconnect.
If you want to keep settings over reboot just install murus boot scripts, murus will ask you for that.
