Export settings from 1.4.2 and import to 1.4.3

Post by oizo123 » Mon Sep 26, 2016 8:12 am

Hi!

1)
Just did a clean install of macOS and tried importing the old settings from Murus pro 1.4.2 into the new 1.4.3. Murus firewall does not even see the file.

2)
I tried exporting the settings from 1.4.3, just to se if it worked. I chose to save the file to ~/Desktop but it is not visible, but when I choose "Import" from Murus the file is there.

It's a common mistake we all do with Murus, me too.
Murus runs as administrator (root). When you import/export files you see the import/export Finder panel with root point of view. You see root home, not your user's home. That "Desktop", "document" folders you see belong to the root user, not you.
If you choose to save a file to Desktop, Murus will save it to ROOT DESKTOP, not your user' desktop.
To find your files please browse from the root of your Mac -> Users -> username -> Desktop (or whatever dir). You'll find it.
