PATCH for logs not working on macOS 10.12.4

Post by hany » Sat Apr 01, 2017 1:29 pm

Unfortunately Murus logging system does not work on macOS 10.12.4.
This is because Apple changed the way 'tcpdump' works, thus Murus boot scripts are not able to properly initialize the pf logging system.
We are working to find a fix for this issue. Please stay tuned.

To fix Murus logs bug on macOS 10.12.4 we have released a temporary workaround. In next Murus versions we will find a better solution.
Get the patch files here:
https://www.murusfirewall.com/downloads ... 0.12.4.zip
please read the included README file. It is a very easy process but please feel free to contact us at info@murus.it if you need help.

This worked perfectly. Thank you!
When the time comes, is it just a matter of deleting the two files to properly uninstall this patch?

when the time comes, you will install Murus 1.4.9 and it will pop up a message saying "you need to update your boot scripts".
This will happen regardless of having installed the patch or not.
Once done, Murus 1.4.9 will hopefully fix everything, you don't need to manually remove the patch.
