2.3.2 vs 3.0.1

Post by Steenchen » Mon Aug 20, 2018 3:19 pm

Hi there, just a polite question. I've tried Vallum 3.0.1 but it's too confusing and comprehensive for me. I really like 2.3.2 and my question is: Can I still use it (knowing it will not be updated) and will there be any security risks doing so? It looks like it works with Mojave but don't of course know in future OS releases?
Best regards

Sure you can use Vallum 2.3.2, we are not aware of any security risk. We are not sure about compatibility with Mojave or future OS releases, but we will test it when the final OS release will be available.
Just a question: can you be more specific and tell us why you feel Vallum 3 too confusing? I mean... is there a specific issue or what? Is there something we can do to help you?

Thanx for answer. Reason I use 2.3.2 instead of 3.0.1 is the LOG window. I like the log in 2.3.2 where you can see an established connection and after ending, the log line disappear and this even if it has been made as a rule. I keep the window on screen for the most. In 3.0.1 there are of course two LOGs but the real log will only show an established connection once. After it has been a rule you will never see it again. That's the big difference for me. Just tried 3.0.1 with Mojave again and it works fine but I'll return to 2.3.2 again because of the log.
Kind regards
