Your application is very easy to use and I've been trying to do some configurations on one particular app.
The app accesses a URL which is on a Domain on Dynamic DNS.
I have blocked access to Everyone, and attempted to add the Allowed Address, for example abcxyz.dyndns.dk.
This then appears to add the IP address it resolved at the time, not the address itself, so this rule will work only until the Dynamic DNS is updated ? I'll keep this rule for a while and see how it goes. Anyone else come across this ?

Re: Vallum block base on DNS resolved to underlying IP
that's true, Vallum never stores names, it only deals with real IP addresses, so every time you add a hostname Vallum resolves it and stores the IP address inside the app rule set. In case of dynamic addresses, unfortunately, if the related IP address changes, Vallum rule set will not reflect that change. This then appears to add the IP address it resolved at the time, not the address itself
Consider it as a Vallum limitation. We may improve that in future releases
